DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer

You will architect, secure, and scale the cloud infrastructure that powers Hubnest's platforms. You ensure our deployment pipelines are rapid, our systems are hardened against intrusion, and our uptime adheres to enterprise Service Level Agreements.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Provision, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code via Terraform.
  • Automate and optimize end-to-end CI/CD deployment pipelines to enable zero-downtime software releases.
  • Monitor system health, infrastructure cost metrics, and latency utilizing Datadog and AWS CloudWatch.
  • Secure all cloud environments by enforcing Identity and Access Management, VPC peering, and network ACLs.
  • Implement container orchestration strategies, migrating legacy applications and scaling microservices on Kubernetes.
  • Manage highly available PostgreSQL database clusters, enforcing automated backups, read-replicas, and disaster recovery protocols.
  • Optimize total cloud computing costs by rightsizing EC2 instances, leveraging spot instances, and auditing S3 lifecycle policies.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure outages as a primary technical escalation point during severe operational incidents.
  • Document the entire infrastructure topology, network diagrams, and disaster recovery runbooks in the engineering wiki.
  • Collaborate with Security Engineers to remediate infrastructure vulnerabilities identified during external penetration tests.
  • Automate routine server maintenance, patch management, and SSL certificate renewals utilizing Bash, Python, or Ansible scripts.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Architect, or Site Reliability Engineer.
  • 4+ years of hands-on administrative experience operating within AWS including EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, and VPC.
  • 4+ years of operational experience utilizing Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) for large-scale container orchestration.
  • 3+ years of experience writing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform (preferred) or CloudFormation.
  • 3+ years of experience architecting and managing complex CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • 3+ years of advanced Linux server administration, shell scripting, and networking experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience managing and scaling relational databases (PostgreSQL) in a high-availability cloud environment.
  • 2+ years of operational experience configuring alerting rules and dashboards in Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Willingness to serve as the primary Infrastructure responder in a 24/7 on-call escalation rotation.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (Professional) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
